Dar to Pahani

Day 22 & 23 - 12^th  & 13^th February

Left the Holiday Inn for Security Group's HQ (thanks again Rennie) in Dar to pick up the bikes, then a relatively good haul up to Pahani beach. Managed to get caught speeding by some friendly Police. Mike managed to talk his way out of a serious fine, while John brandished the Polaroid.

Left the main tarmac around 30Km short of our destination and joined a very poor dust & sand road down towards the coast. Two minor "offs". John had to swerve to miss Nick, and Nick later led the way into some deep sand and took a dive. Managed to reach the Peponi Lodge just before nightfall

Excuse for this one is that he swerved to avoid a lawyer (Nick) - yeah right.			Nick takes a dive in soft sand Unfortunately, the bike fell awkwardly and the sand mnaged to snap off the clutch lever. Fortunately we had a spare in the LandCruiser.
