A late-ish start to cover the short run to Sossusvlei. A relatively cool day, and fantastic scenery made for a very pleasant run to the Sossusvlei Lodge. The dust road towards the end of the journey was pretty poor. Got to Sossusvlei before lunch, and checked into the accommodation. These consisted of individual tented extensions to a brick ablutions area. No aircon, but cool. Lunched and then took the tour to the Dunes and Deadsvlei and Sossusvlei areas. Did some dune walking, and drove back after dark to an excellent buffet with various game meats and DIY stir fry, topped off with some wines.
